For Your Surgery Day
Transportation
- Please arrange for transportation to Golden Springs Surgical Center on the day of surgery.
- If your physician’s office is arranging for transportation assistance, please confirm with their offices prior to your surgery day.
- Your driver must stay on site during your stay (parking lot and surrounding shopping center is acceptable)
Arrival Time
- You will be notified by your physician/surgeon’s office of your arrival time. If you have not received notification, please call your physician’s office directly, or reach out to the surgery center to inquire about your appointment details.
- If you need to cancel or reschedule your surgery, please call the surgery center as soon as possible at (760) 656-6111.
Medications
- It is important for you to continue your medications on the morning of surgery, unless advised not to by your doctor or the pre-op nursing team.
- Take your medications with a small sip of water.
- Diabetics: Please check your blood sugar the morning of surgery.
- IF you use an inhaler, please bring it with you.
- A surgery center nurse will call you prior to surgery to review your medications and medical history.
Attire
- The night before surgery, shower or bathe using a Chlorhexidine soap (Hibiclens or other CHG soaps are acceptable). You may take a shower with regular soap before using Hibiclens.
- Brush your teeth the day of surgery.
- Dress in loose fitting/comfortable clothing.
- DO NOT wear any make-up, contact lenses, or fragrances.
- You may wear glasses and hearing aids, but be prepared to remove them prior to surgery.
- Jewelry and valuables should be left at home.
- If bringing a cell phone into the facility, they are to be powered off in the surgical area.
Bring to Surgery
Please bring the following items with you:
- Photo ID
- Insurance Card(s)
- Co-pay
- Eye drops (if needed)
- Current list of medications
